Reunion Weekend

• Weatherred's "No Class" Party

• It was raining most of the evening, but everyone had a really good time.  Lee and Odie are looking forward to Lee's 60th HHS Reunion next year and all who want to meet and greet with the class of 1948, plan now to come to the Holdenville next June 27th & 28th, 2008.  Lee and Odie are considering making next year their swan Friday night "No Class" Party.

  • Oh, the weather outside was frightful, But inside was so delightful for the annual combined Holdenville High School reunion for the classes of 1953-54-55-56 plus a few special guests on June 29.
     

  • The party was originally scheduled to be hosted by Victor and Carol Pryor on their ranch near Yeager, but heavy rains made it impossible to park at the Pryor’s. At the last minute, the Pryors secured the Activities Building at First Baptist Church, which was also the site of the all-class reunion on Saturday night.
     

  • A Tribute to Bob Slavin was the theme for the party and it was a rousing success as nearly half of the 114 in attendance told of his influence in their lives and the former HHS shop and mechanical drawing teacher, Teen Town sponsor, summer recreation host and founder and sponsor for the famed Elkettes drill team was overwhelmed at the response.
     

  • To keep the ongoing tribute to Mr. Slavin alive, the group is putting together a scrapbook containing photos from the good old days and some taken the last couple of years. The book will also contain a collection of tributes to Mr. Slavin. Anyone who would like to be a part of the tribute may e-mail or regular mail to:
